Paradise Found

Paradise Found

In the 1930's and 1940's the "Aloha Shirt" became a universal symbol of Hawaii's warmth and spirit. Today, almost 70 years later, Paradise Found & Diamond Head Sportswear carry on the Hawaiian tradition by manufacturing the highest quality, most authentic versions of the islands favorite designs. From the warm, romantic days of old Hawaii, they proudly present a collection of "Made in Hawaii." The islands most authentic designs of nostalgic and modern "Aloha Shirts," all of which embody the spirit of Aloha!

Since the inception of Paradise Found, this great clothing company had been just a small shirt company making locally inspired Hawaiian themed apparel. Then, in the early 1980's, fate, or destiny struck. A local television production company was looking for apparel to help theme their new Hawaii based TV series. One of the actors was immediately drawn to a company favorite, "Jungle Bird".

Jungle Bird, was made famous by Tom Selleck, in the 1980's Hawaiian detective television series, Magnum P.I.. Suddenly, the huge success of this great TV show caused people everywhere to want to look like the handsome Tom Selleck. The women wanted to date him, the men wanted to look like him. The show continues it's popularity into this century through reruns and DVD's. The Original Magnum P.I. Jungle Bird shirt worn by Selleck was donated to the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History, where it is currently on display.

All of this popularity launched Paradise Found to the forefront of popular designers of fine Hawaiian wear. They have continued to expand the offerings and today have one of the largest catalogs of available prints.
